It is installed on the bulldozer ripper shank as the front wear working part, used for breaking hard bedrock, frozen soil, compacted overburden in open-pit mines, quarry and large earthmoving
projects. It bears extreme concentrated impact and long-term severe abrasive wear, acting as a sacrificial wear component to protect the high-cost ripper shank from deformation and fracture, greatly reducing maintenance downtime for heavy mining fleets.
